These Choker biners are based on our standard K30TA-ANSI design, with a unique feature: bright, durable powder-coated colours.
In collaboration with Vertical Supply Group (Tree Stuff, USA), we developed a coating that is hard-wearing yet visually striking. Steel karabiners are normally zinc-plated (gold/yellow) to meet corrosion-resistance standards. Standard powder coating can compromise this zinc layer due to high temperatures. Our solution uses a specialized undercoat that allows powder coating without affecting corrosion resistance, enabling custom colours to match most RAL schemes (MOQs apply).
The Choker biners are tested specifically for choke-hitching and girth-hitching around tree limbs. They are approved for these applications with a de-rated Working Load Limit (WLL) based on a 40 kN Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) and a 5:1 safety factor.
